What is a PVC profile?

uPVC windows, plastic windows, metal plastic windows - there are many names for window constructions. And it seems to be talking about the same thing. However, plastic profile and metal plastic profile are two different things, and the customer need to know exactly what's the difference.

Modern windows are usually made of metal plastic profile and PVC profile is one of its components.

PVC profile is a kind of sheath and base of thermal insulation of the window. And inside this profile steel frame of complicated shape is inserted. All together it gives us metal-plastic profile.

PVC profiles are produced by world-leading brands. It requires expensive equipment and serious investment.

Internal profile filling - reinforcing insert gives provides the necessary rigidity to the profile, it is the basis for fixing of fittings and glazings.

The quality of PVC iteself is uder the total control (reputation in window business is the most important thing), but inner filling is the point where not serious companies can save money as the thickness of this insert can vary from 2.5 to 1 mm!

Now clients usually do not face such problems.  Reputable companies are not  trying to save becasue they know that elimination of the problems under warranty is much more expensive. But still there are some just one-day companies that may have uPVC profile of very poor quality.

So the verdict is simple – the manufacturer should not be too small and it must have a good reputation. In this case you will be sure what steel is inside your window profile
