Tulle is the kind of decor that can be almost invisible yet still completely change the atmosphere of a room. It’s especially well suited to PVC windows: the sleek frames and clean lines of the plastic create a lovely contrast with the airy texture of the fabric.
The main advantage of tulle is its ability to softly diffuse light. Unlike heavy curtains, it doesn’t block daylight—it makes it cozier. Sunlight becomes warm and gentle, without harsh glare on TV screens or monitors. This is especially valuable in sunny rooms where you want plenty of light but not blinding brightness.
For PVC windows, it’s best to choose tulle made from blended or synthetic fabrics: they wrinkle less, don’t turn yellow over time, and are easier to care for. Popular options include fine mesh, voile, or pieces with a delicate pattern—they add texture without overwhelming the look. Neutral colors work best: white, cream, beige, or light gray. This keeps the window light and prevents it from weighing down the interior.
Mount the tulle on a ceiling or wall-mounted curtain rod: it’s more secure and won’t interfere with opening the window sashes. You can use it on its own or pair it with heavier curtains. In the latter case, the tulle acts as the first layer, creating a base level of coziness, while the curtains handle the task of blocking out light.
In any style—from minimalism to Provence—tulle works as a soft accent. It doesn’t clash with the modern design of a PVC window; instead, it gently complements it, adding a sense of comfort and lightness to the home.
