Glamour and Geometry: Decorating PVC Windows in Art Deco Style

Art Deco is all about luxury, sharp rhythms, and striking contrasts. PVC windows in such an interior shouldn’t stay neutral — they should become a bold architectural accent.

Start with the frame: shades like champagne, gold, bronze, or glossy black instantly add a sense of refinement. Lamination that mimics exotic wood with a pronounced grain pattern also works well — it reinforces the idea of premium finishes.

Textiles should match the style’s spirit: smooth, slightly lustrous fabrics such as satin, taffeta, or heavy silk. Opt for deep hues — emerald, sapphire, aubergine, and chocolate. Patterns should be geometric: zigzags, rays, or stepped motifs. Combinations of matte and glossy textures in one scheme look particularly elegant — for example, matte drapes paired with a satin lambrequin featuring sharp, angular lines.

Choose metal curtain rods with a polished finish or a patina that resembles brass or bronze. Sleek decorative elements are welcome: finials shaped like pyramids, diamonds, or sunbursts.

To amplify the effect, add stained‑glass inserts with graphic patterns or bevelled glass: the facets beautifully refract light and create the sparkling highlights typical of Art Deco. Decorative glazing bars on the sashes also work well — keep them strict, symmetrical, and matching the hardware.
