Classic Curtains for PVC Windows

PVC windows have become a staple in our homes, but that’s no reason to skip cozy traditional curtains. On the contrary, they add exactly the kind of homely warmth that the sleek plastic frames sometimes lack.

Classic curtains for PVC windows aren’t about heavy, old‑fashioned drapery—they’re about thoughtful simplicity: straight panels, soft folds, and understated fabrics. Cotton, linen, or blended materials are popular choices: they resist fading, wash easily, and drape beautifully. Choose a color that either matches the walls (so the window doesn’t stand out too much) or contrasts with them—that way, the window becomes a focal point in the room.

An important detail: because of the PVC profile’s design, it’s better to mount the curtain rod on the wall or ceiling rather than on the frame itself. This makes the setup more secure and ensures the fabric won’t interfere with opening the sashes. If you want to keep as much light as possible, semi‑transparent options work well—they gently diffuse sunlight without overwhelming the space.

Traditional curtains fit perfectly in Scandinavian, Provence, country, and even modern minimalist interiors—the key is not to overdo the decor. A clean cut, natural texture, and a calm shade will turn the window from a purely functional element into part of your home’s cozy story.
