How to Choose Windows for Different Rooms: Key Criteria

When selecting windows, it's important to consider the room's intended use—lighting, ventilation, noise, and thermal insulation requirements vary from room to room.

Kitchen

• Ventilation is a priority. The following are required:

o Tilt-and-turn sash;

o Micro-slot ventilation system;

o Supply ventilation valve (for a constant air flow).

• Material: Practical white PVC without unnecessary decorative elements.

• Humidity: Ensure the profile and fittings are resistant to condensation.

Bedroom

• Soundproofing: 7 cm thick double-glazed windows or those with an energy-saving coating.

• Light control: Install blinds, roller blinds, or tinting film.

• Safety: A child's bedroom requires fittings with a tamper-evident mechanism.

• Ventilation: A micro-ventilation mechanism is essential.

Living Room

• Size — panoramic glazing or triple-pane designs are acceptable.

• Aesthetics — custom shapes, colored profiles, and imitation wood are possible.

• Functionality — at least one tilt-and-turn sash for ventilation.

• Light — if the window faces south, consider tinted glass to protect against overheating.

Children's Room

• Safety — hardware with a lock, triple-glazed windows.

• Air exchange — a draft-free micro-ventilation system.

• Design — bright colors or decorative trims are acceptable, but avoid sharp corners.

Bathroom/toilet room

• Moisture resistance — anti-corrosion hardware, seals resistant to humidity fluctuations.

General recommendations

1. Orientation:

o North — large windows to compensate for the lack of light;
