After you have installed new uPVC plastic windows WINSA, a special film remains on them and it can be quite difficult to remove. It is even harder to remove it if a long time passed after installation.
The PVC window profile and the film interact and stick together tightly under the influence of sunlight, so it becomes difficult to remove the remaining protective layer. Therefore, you should remove the coating no later than ten days after the installation of new structures is completed.
If the film does not move away from the plastic surface easily enough, then you can remove it in two ways: chemical or mechanical.
When using the chemical method, special substances are applied to the film that penetrate the film and make it softer. As such a substance, you can use white spirit. The film is slightly pulled from the edge and a chemical substance is sprayed into the gap. After a few minutes, it will work and the film will be easy enough to remove.
When using a mechanical cleaning method, you should be extremely careful to avoid damage to the profile surface. In order to remove the film, use a brush, eraser, construction dryer. From the edge of the film, you can gently pry with a knife, and then carefully pull it.
Keep in mind that the shorter the time between installing the Windows and removing the film, the less effort this procedure will require.
