The types of window films: mirror tinted.

Often customers are asked to install a window mirror film, which consists of one or more layers of polyester and metallized coating. The main colors of the metallized films are silver, gold and copper obtained by using an appropriate metallizing powder.   The percentage of light transmission in mirror films depends on the deposition density and can be from 0 to 90%. At installation of a film on window glasses of buildings it is necessary to activate an adhesive layer. The adhesive layer in tinting films is applied in the production process on one side and closed with a thin liner. On the outside, all high-quality professional films should have an anti-abrasive layer. Metallization in mirror films can be either between the layers of polyester and from the outside under the anti-abrasive layer. Mirror films are used to improve the appearance of the building and reduce the amount of heat and ultraviolet radiation penetrating into the building, due to its reflection. Protective films can also be made with a metallized layer, while having shock-resistant and heat-shielding properties. Protecting property from deliberate attacks, lowering the heating of the room and protecting against the penetration of harmful radiation.
Installation of the film on the glass is a simple process that can be carried out both by professional film installers and independently.
In many mirror films there are layers of polyester, which includes dyes for toning films of different colors and shades. The use of paint makes it possible to obtain not only single-color tinting films, but also films with color transition. Application in films of dyes with metallized layer is widely used in automotive films, increasing the reflection of heat rays, and also creating privacy. Dyes and metallized additives have both advantages and disadvantages, so the structure of mirror films includes both of the components to further enhance the properties of each of them.
Mirror films are usually installed on the finished glass and are not recommended for installation on plastic, damaged glass, glass older than 40 years.
