All about window seals.

The window seal is almost invisible, but very important detail of PVC Window. Modern PVC window is a robust design of interconnected elements, each of them is important and necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of uPVC windows. The quality of each component: profile, glazing, accessories and seals ensures the quality of the whole design. The seal seems to be very unnoticeable part. However, tightness of the window largely depends on it. And it is thanks to the tightness of PVC window, our house is provided with the protection against noise, dust and moisture. To provide the desired properties, the seal is made from high quality materials. The seal should maintain their properties and not lose the elasticity for quite a long time. 

Currently, the seals are typically made from rubber or silicone, but lately some new materials with improved characteristics have appeared. Silicone is an expensive material, while its strength is low, it is not resistant to many chemical reagents. Artificial rubber is 

the most widely used material in today's window industry. This high quality material has found the widest application. This rubber is stable in the temperature range from -60 to +120 degrees. It is not sensitive to extreme temperatures and UV rays. Has a high resistance to mechanical impact. Despite the appearence of other materials, currently rubber seals are the most common, providing an optimal combination of price and quality.
