It may seem like installing a window is a one‑day job. In reality, several stages stand between the first call and final handover, and each takes its own time.
First comes measuring. A specialist visits your place, takes precise dimensions, and notes the features of the opening, reveals, and even the direction the window faces. This matters: even a couple of centimetres’ mistake can cause problems during installation.
Next is production. At the factory, the profile is cut, frames are welded, стеклопакеты and hardware are installed. A standard order usually takes 5–10 working days. Non‑standard shapes, lamination, or special glass can add a few more days.
Then there’s delivery. Windows are fragile, so they’re transported in special vehicles to avoid damage. The time depends on distance and logistics load.
Installation is a separate stage. Fitting one window takes 2–4 hours, but if you also need new reveals, drip edges, and window sills, it’ll take longer. Weather matters too: strong wind or heavy rain can push the schedule back.
Finally, there’s handover. You inspect the windows, check the hardware operation, the tightness of the seal, and look for scratches. If there are any issues, they’re fixed right away.
Overall, from measuring to a ready‑to‑use window usually takes 7–14 days. Knowing this process helps you plan renovations and stay calm if the timeline shifts a bit.
