Living Accent: How to Decorate PVC Windows with Flowers

Live plants against the sleek backdrop of PVC windows are a simple way to add warmth and movement to the interior. The window instantly transforms from a plain opening into a cozy composition, where the geometry of the plastic beautifully contrasts with the organic shapes of leaves and petals.

Compact potted plants are the best choice: snake plant (sansevieria), peace lily (spathiphyllum), geranium, or small succulents. They don’t block the light but still create a striking accent. For hanging options, trailing plants like tradescantia or epipremnum work well—their soft, cascading vines soften the window’s strict lines. If you want a seasonal touch, place small bouquets in vases on the windowsill: wildflowers, eustoma, or spray roses. Just make sure the arrangement doesn’t interfere with opening the sashes.

Light conditions matter: south‑facing windows suit sun‑loving varieties (geranium, succulents), while north‑facing ones are better for shade‑tolerant plants (sansevieria, zamioculcas). On the windowsill, use drainage and trays so water doesn’t get onto the PVC profile and damage it.

To keep the decor looking intentional, follow the rule of three: don’t place more than 3–4 pots in a row—this keeps the composition light and balanced. You can add a couple of decorative touches—a ceramic planter, a wooden stand, or a woven basket—but avoid overdoing the decor.
