Light and Coziness: Decorating PVC Windows in Scandinavian Style

Scandinavian style is all about maximizing light, embracing simplicity, and creating warm coziness — so window decor should help “let the day in” and avoid visual clutter.

Start with the frame: the best choice for Scandi is a white profile or lamination to look like light wood (pine, ash). If you want a touch of contrast, a slim black profile works well — it adds graphic flair while staying understated. It’s important to keep the profile narrow so the window doesn’t “eat up” the light.

Textiles should be light and natural: linen, cotton, or fine wool. Semi‑transparent tulle or plain voile curtains are ideal — they softly diffuse light and preserve the sense of space.
