Clean PVC windows make a home feel brighter and tidier, and proper care helps extend their lifespan. The key rule is to be gentle: the plastic, glass, and hardware are sensitive to harsh products and rough tools.

Start cleaning on an overcast day: in direct sunlight, water dries quickly and leaves streaks. Use a warm soapy solution or a special cleaner that contains no abrasives, chlorine, or acetone — these can yellow the profile or damage the finish. Choose soft microfiber cloths or a foam sponge; avoid stiff brushes and scrapers, as they can scratch the surfaces.

First, wipe down the frame and windowsill, paying extra attention to joints and hardware — these areas tend to collect the most dust. Clean the seals gently with a damp cloth, and once they’re dry, apply a small amount of silicone lubricant; this helps the rubber stay flexible longer. Clean the glass in stages: first rinse off the dirt, then apply a glass cleaner, remove the excess moisture with a rubber squeegee, and finally polish with a dry cloth.

Don’t forget the drainage holes — cleaning them once a season with a thin stick or by blowing them out is enough to prevent moisture buildup. Wash the mosquito net separately under the shower and let it air‑dry.
