Installation is equally important: a properly executed joint with acoustic foam and correct insulation prevents sound from leaking through the seams.
Keep in mind that sound insulation works only when the window is closed. Ventilation inevitably reduces protection, so in noisy areas it’s worth considering supply air valves — they let fresh air in without letting the noise in.
Choosing windows based on the noise level is a matter of calculation: a spot next to a busy road needs more robust solutions than a quiet neighbourhood.
