To ensure your plastic windows serve for a long time and retain their appearance, follow these simple care rules.
Clean the profile properly. Use a soft sponge and products free of alcohol, chlorine, acetone, acids, and abrasives. A soapy solution, degreaser, or special PVC cleaners are suitable. Clean at least once every six months.
Care for the sealant. Twice a year (in spring and autumn), clean it with a soapy solution, wipe dry, and lubricate with silicone grease (or car sealant product). Avoid contact with alcohol‑based solutions.
Clean drainage holes. They are located at the bottom of the frame. Clogs prevent moisture drainage — clear the channels with cotton swabs or soft wire.
Lubricate the hardware. Once or twice a year, treat moving parts with machine oil free of acids and resins. Do not wash locks and hinges with water — just remove dust and apply lubricant.
Fix minor defects. Scratches on white profiles can be polished (leave this to professionals). For coloured plastic, use a special lacquer‑based pen.
Ventilate the room. Use micro‑ventilation mode to avoid condensation. Do not clutter the windowsill with plants or humidifiers — this increases humidity.
Maintain the mosquito net. Remove it for winter and store in a warm, dry place. Once a year, clean with a vacuum cleaner, soft brush, and soapy solution.
Important: remove the protective film from the profile immediately after installation — over time, it may adhere to the surface.
Following these rules will help preserve the functionality and aesthetics of your windows for decades.
