كيفية تنظيف نوافذ PVC بشكل صحيح

Regular cleaning of PVC windows preserves their appearance and extends their service life. The key is to use appropriate products and follow the right sequence.

What you’ll need:

a soft microfiber cloth or lint‑free fabric;

a sponge with a gentle side (no abrasives);

a bucket of warm water (not above 40 °C);

a neutral detergent (liquid soap or a special cleaner for PVC and glass);

a rubber squeegee for glass;

a dry, clean cloth for final wiping.

Step‑by‑step instructions:

Start with the frames and windowsills. Apply a soapy solution and gently wipe the surfaces with a sponge to remove dust and stains. Avoid aggressive solvents, acetone, and acids—they can damage the profile and seals.

Clean the hardware and drainage holes. Use a lightly damp cloth to remove dirt from hinges, handles, and locks; clear the drainage with a dry brush.

Move on to the glass. Apply the cleaner, spread it evenly with the squeegee from top to bottom. Remove residual moisture and streaks with a dry microfiber cloth.

Wipe the seals with a soft, damp cloth, then dry them thoroughly. If needed, treat them with silicone lubricant to maintain elasticity.

Finally, go over all surfaces with a dry cloth to prevent streaks and water marks.

Key rules:

avoid hard brushes and abrasive powders—they can scratch plastic and glass;

don’t use hot water or steam cleaners—overheating may deform the profile;

clean windows on cloudy days or out of direct sunlight—this reduces streaks;

clean at least twice a year (in spring and autumn).
