The cornice can also be placed above the window. In this case, the curtains will cover not only the window opening, but also part of the adjacent wall. This method is well suited for housing with low ceilings, as it visually increases their height.

Finally, you can use a special cornice in the form of an arc to make the shape of the curtains repeat the shape of the window. This is not an easy way of decoration, but it is extremely beautiful and romantic. On such a curved cornice, classic curtains with lambrequins and scoops or elegant French curtains will look especially aesthetically pleasing.
