Use of tempered glass in window construction

Tempered glass can be used as part of a glazing. The quenching process is heating the glass to a very high temperature and then instant cooling.
 If you use tempered glass as part of a triplex, this will give it even more impact resistance. However, it can also be used by itself. 
Such glass has the following advantages:

- The strength of tempered glass is much higher than ordinary one
- If it breaks, then the fragments will be small in size, and their edges do not have cutting ability, so they will not be able to harm a person in any way.

The main disadvantage of such glass is that when it is broken, it will fall out of the window opening and you will have to close the window with something else before replacing it. However, such glass can be reinforced by sticking an anti-vandal film, which we talked about earlier.
