Created new material for window profile reinforcement.

Reinforcement of PVC profile with metal insert is currently an important stage of windows manufacture. Such reinforcement is necessary due to the fact that plastic does not have sufficient strength to withstand severe wind loads, also it is difficult to withstand the weight of the whole structure for the windows of large size. 

Thanks to the latest invention, inserts made of metal can stay in the past. Leading German chemical manufacturing company BASF has introduced a new development in the area of the reinforcement in PVC profile with fiberglass. The new material is a crystallizable polymer having a stiffness similar to steel. According to the developers, insertion made at the stage of extrusion, give the windows the same strength as the metal. The technology is simple enough and can be mastered in any enterprise where extrusion equipment is available. 

This technology allows to completely avoid the metal reinforcement, the necessary rigidity is given during the extrusion process directly in production. Thus, the new material allows to reinforce the plastic profile of any shape, achieving the required rigidity and strength. With such reinforced profile, you can perform other operations just as easily as in the case of conventional profile. This achieves a significant reduction in the weight of the window design, improves thermal insulation and the deformation resistance. The new technology is already actively promoted in the market by its developers. It can greatly simplify the production process while also improving energy efficiency.
