Before repairs begin, it is necessary to take some measures to protect plastic windows. In the simplest case, if you plan only to updatie finishing, the windows need to be protected only from dust, paint and dirt. With this, you can use a simple plastic film, which neatly clips to the frame or a special stretch film which is easily removed after the repair is completed.
If the installation works are planned at a small distance from the windows, you have to take care of the glazing protection. For them, the most appropriate means will be a liquid film. It's not too cheap, but absolutely reliable method. The material is applied on the entire window design with a roller, and after a few hours in its place the elastic layer will be formed, reminiscent of rubber, which can easily be removed after completion of repairs. Liquid film can be applied to all surfaces, but especially indicated for glass ones.
When the renovation is completed, the windows must be put in order as soon as possible. You must first remove the protective film and other materials that you hid the window. It is important to do as soon as possible, as some films can stick to the glass because of sun exposure and in this case their removal would be problematic.
Then wash all the surfaces from all kinds of pollution. Use suitable cleaning agents. Do not forget that plastic windows do not tolerate abrasives or products containing various acids.
At the final stage grease fittings and seals with means designed for this purpose. After that check the work of accessories and adjust it if necessary.
