What safe glazing is

Obviously, in the design of any window the largest area will be occupied by glass. Do not forget that despite the widest functionality of PVC windows, the main function is still light transmission which is provided by glazing. At the same time, it is the most breakable part of the window structure. Ordinary glass is a rather fragile material that breaks easily. At the same time, its fragments are very sharp and can be dangerous for people, especially children.
However, glass can be made safer. There are several methods for this.

The triplex is a multilayer glass, the layers are connected to each other using a special film. It is much more difficult to break it, but if it  happens, the fragments will not fly in different directions but will stick together thanks to the film. If you live on the ground floor, it is advisable to install triplex glass from the outside. If your goal is to create the safes children's room, it is better to put a triplex on the inside of the glazing. 
There are a lot of advantages of such glass:

- Strength. If you hit an ordinary glass with something solid, it will immediately break, but the triplex will withstand several hits and will not fly apart.

- Versatility. Such glass is capable of performing several functions, enhancing the sound insulation properties of PVC windows and providing protection against burglary and the absence of fragments if the window will be broken.

Triplex also has disadvantages. The total weight of the double-glazed window in this case will increase. The cost of double-glazed windows will also increase. However, the main advantage is its security.
