Why do the windows need protection during repair?

Plastic windows of high quality are products designed for many years of loyal service. During this period you often have to do home repairs. If you have installed new PVC windows, you should also think about how to protect them from dirt, dust and accidental damage during repairs. 

For a start, you should understand how the repairs may affect various parts of the window. 

The easiest thing is to damage the glazing. Understand that any random shot could be irreparable for this fragile item. If the glass will crack, it  won't look good, but also will lose its properties. Its replacement will be expensive, so it is better to take care of its protection. 

There is no repair without large amounts of dust. It may damage fittings or reduce the operation life of the sealing or to clog the drainage holes. 

Plastic frames have high resistance to various manipulations, but in the case of a sufficiently strong impact may cause cracks. Plastic can get serious damage if you are working with paint, glue or other chemicals.
