Polyvinylchloride is a synthetic material that came to the attention of windows manufacturers in the 50-ies of the last century. Despite our habit to wooden frames, today more and more customers are aware of the undeniable advantages of PVC products which make our lives much more comfortable.
Surprisingly, this material was obtained in the early 19th century, but since its appearance was greatly ahead of its' time, it passed almost unnoticed. For the creator of the PVC it was just white powder in a test tube. The twentieth century saw the heyday of PVC. In the early 30-ies it was widely used in the manufacture of water pipes, floor coverings and other plastic products. However, it took another 20 years before it found its true purpose.
Since the middle of last century it began to be used for the manufacture of plastic windows. The first PVC Windows were created in Germany, where it began its triumphal procession through Europe and America, acquiring a growing number of loyal fans.
