In Dubai will soon be completed the work on the project of the new Apple store. The latest sun protection system made of carbon fiber will be its highlight. The famous British architect Norman Foster (one of the founders of high-tech style) was the developer of the project. The Apple store will occupy two floors of one of the most popular shopping centers in the world - the Dubai Mall in the UAE.
Designer from London appealed to the traditional Arab style mashrabiya, which is a patterned lattice of wood to protect the house from the scorching sun of the desert. The store design is well thought out from the point of view of the hot climate. The so-called "solar wings" provide shading to the terraces in the daytime and in the evening show a panorama of gorgeous views.
Solar wings are innovative shutters made of carbon fiber. This modern material makes them resistant to mechanical and chemical damage, as well as provide them high heat resistance.
All shutters represent a dense network and are intended for protection from the sun. They turn, providing shade by day and open access to the terrace in the dark time. Their movement looks like the flapping of bird wings.
The design of this store is the best combination of climatic conditions and cultural traditions of the UAE and Apple's desire to create impressive architectural design.
