The best material for windows is PVC.

Can we call PVC a genius material? We do think so. This great material has come to the attention of windows manufacturers around 50 years ago.

But its history is much longer. It was first syntesized in far 1835 and offcourse was ahead its time. So none was really interested about it and it remained  white solid substance in the bottom of the tube. Success came to PVC after around 100 years, in the thirties of past century. Manufacturers started to produce PVC films, floor coverings, pipes and many more different plastic products.

But the best usage of this material was found in the windows profiles production. First PVC window "was born" in Germany. First appeared in this country this material gained a lot of fans all over the world.

Plastic windows are so good as they have perfect functionality at quite low price due to the fact that raw materials are cheap and available (it is made from oil and salt). One of the cheapest and most convenient methods of plastic processing is used in PVC production namely extrusion. Preparing of the profile is also very simple: the polymer is heated to melt condition and is extruded through the opening which must provide the desired cross-section. After it formed profile will be cooled and hardened using cold water. At the end of the process the special saw will divide it into pieces of necessary size.

Plastic windows have no competitors as to phisycal properties. They are have much lower thermal conductivity than wood, higher strength and chemical resistance. As we said Germany is the homeland of the first plastic window and they have the biggest experience in this field. So, German windows are considered to be the most technologically advanced in the whole world.

The trend of last years is that natural materials always becoming more expensive. Wood of sufficient quality will cost  up to 7 times more expensive than plastic.

That is why standard buildings are usually equipped with poor quality frames made of cheap wood and by outdated technology.

so you can clearly see that today there is no alternative to PVC. PVC windows – ideal Windows. And to understand it, it is not necessary to understand construction perfectly.
