Is PVC dangerous for health?
What is the reason for people to be afraid of plastic windows? The root of the problem is that many of us heard about lead compounds used in the PVC production, they are usually called stabilizers.
When we hear word "lead" it seems to be something dangerous but nobody actually uses lead to produce plastic. There are lead compounds that can be used and it is absolutely not the same. For example salt we eat has chemical formula NaCl, so it is chlorine compound. But would we eat it if it has properties of chlorine? Surely, no. The same is with lead compounds used for plastic production.
The main approval that PVC is save is that it is used in medicine. Even vessels for donor blood storage are made of PVC.
