Window technology is constantly evolving and improving. This also applies to technologies of painting profile. At present different methods are used.
1. Staining in the mass. When using this method, color is added to the material of the frame at the production stage. The end result is profile colored fully. Most often, this profile should be laminated or painted, but can be ordered as it is.
2. Lamination is one of the most common technologies for creating color profile. In the process of lamination, the profile is covered with a special film under the action of pressure and high temperature. Plus of this technology is that color film can be applied to the profile from one side only. So from the facade, the window can be painted in one color, and from the interior in another. The disadvantage of this method is the susceptibility to scratching and fading. If the profile is laminated from both sides, this will increase the cost of construction by about a third comparing with the standard one.
3. The colouring method of coextrusion. In this process the mixture for frame connects to polymethylacrylates. Thus, there is a connection of elements at the molecular level, it helps the profile to acquire additional strength, and thus treated it becomes resistant to mechanical damage. However, it is the most expensive of the currently existing technologies.
4. Staining of PVC profile at production. In the factory a special machine is used for applying the special paint by spraying. If high quality paints are used, the product retains its characteristics up to 40 years.
