Glazing is the part of plastic window from which mostly depends the efficiency of noise protection. Single-chamber glazing will protect your house from the sounds of intensity to 30 dB. That is enough for urban areas with a not too high noise pollution. However, if the house is located on a busy highway, near the airport or other similar objects, you will need more robust protection, since the intensity of sound can reach 70 dB.
To effectively suppress the sound, the thicker glass must be inserted into the glazing. In addition, the sheets of glass in the design must be of different thickness to provide a more effective sound absorption. Laminated glass consisted of several glass sheets glued with special film will also increase the coefficient of sound insulation of glazing. This glass in addition to the noise-reducing properties, will have a high impact resistance.
The sealer is another important element of the sound insulation system of window design. In addition, it protects the house from dust and odors outside. The most common are the gaskets made of synthetic rubber. They are installed around the perimeter of the frame from external and internal sides.
