Classification of modern glazing.

Currently there is the following classification of glazing for PVC windows:

- General construction purpose,
- impact resistant,
- energy efficient
- sun protection

Single-chamber and double-chamber windows of general construction purpose are the most simple structurally and the cheapest ones. This kind of glazing is made of float glass, in its chambers the air or inert gas is pumped. These windows are standard for different types of glazing. Windows with specific properties have improved characteristics, and the glass included in their composition is produced using a special technology. 

To be protected from the hot aggressive, sun protection glass is the best option. for their production can be used bronze, blue or green glass, and reflective or light-diffusing glass. In some windows can be installed mirror glass with a one-sided transparency. 

Impact resistant glazing is a way to secure the room. Some kinds are resistant even to very considerable mechanical stress. There is  also safe double glazing, which should not be confused with impact resistant. Their task upon impact not to scatter into separate fragments, but to be kept in the design.
