A few decades ago it would have seemed a fantasy but today a window can become transparent or opaque by simply pressing a button. Use of smart glass is extremely wide. For example, from your balcony you want to admire the beautiful view, but sometimes you dream about solitude. Smart glass by clicking the button will hide you from prying eyes, instantly changing the transparency. 

Since the smart glass appeared around 10 years have passed and now it is used not only in offices, where it is successfully maintaining the confidentiality of the negotiations. It can be found in the apartments of people, intently watching the technological innovations in the field of architecture and construction. 

Smart glass is made of several layers of glass and synthetic materials. It is able to change their characteristics depending on external conditions. When such glass is off, it usually has a milky white or milky blue color. When the current is switched, it will be transparent or translucent. Expensive cars can be equipped with such glasses as an additional option. 

When the the cost of smart glass will be reduced thanks to new production technologies and will go into mass production, it will become available to the average customer and commonly replace curtains and other window accessories. However, it is difficult to predict how soon this might happen.
