In the modern city and its bustling streets, excellent sound insulation is usually the most popular option of PVC windows. In order not to make the wrong choice, consider the most common myths about noise protection.
1) You Can improve sound insulation properties of window designs with the help of special films. This is, surely, not true. It is not necessary to waste your money on something that does not help to improve the soundproofing
2) Double-chamber windows can provide a better level of sound proofing than windows with single chamber. This is perhaps the most common myth. To avoid confusion, we have to explain that a single-chamber glazing consists of two panes of glass with air cavity between them, and two-chamber glazing includes three glasses and, accordingly, the two air cavity.
In reality, if comparing the insulation of two identical Windows, a single-chamber window will show a better level of noise reduction (of course, the total thickness of glass and the total thickness of the window should be the same)
3) If the chambers are filled with argon or krypton it will increase the protection against noise. In reality it is not like this. Pumping of inert gas between the panes almost does not affect the insulating properties of the glazing.
