Are PVC Windows safe for the environment?

For the environment PVC Windows are even more useful than just safe. Of course, in the past there were some problems with the utilization of polyvinyl chloride (when it is burned, toxic organochlorine compounds are released), but now they are technologically solved. In residential areas, PVC Windows burn almost impossible-thanks to special additives, they simply do not burn.

The benefit to the environment PVC Windows bring in an indirect way. First, by improving the insulation when using double-glazed Windows significantly reduces heating costs. And, accordingly, the amount of burned natural fuel is reduced. In Germany, for example, it is from these considerations specifically allocated government subsidies for heating owners of Windows with double-glazed Windows.

There is another important factor. With each delivered PVC window saved one (or even two) tree. On a global scale, the reduction in the production of wooden Windows and the transition to synthetic materials can save quite a lot of forest, which is good.
