Decorating the windows, do not forget about their main function of the light source. A kind of material you choose for window decoration is very important. Many people use simple white curtains, translucent to light. However, this style can not be called very original.

In the past the most popular duet was blackout blinds and light curtains but now it is increasingly replaced by fashionable combination of curtains and roller blinds. The popularity of rolletes or Roman blinds in combination with tulle curtains is growing. However, the traditional decor in the form of light lace curtains with rich heavy blinds still has plenty of fans. To make it more relevant, you can use additional elements. 

Blinds and curtains with the same smooth folds perfectly fits modern interiors in minimalist style. The folds can be wider or narrower, but the main thing is that all of them must be be the same, there is no place for asymmetry. 

For interiors in cool shades, experts recommend sleek and minimally decorated cloth. Excellent solution - a smooth curtain, stretched along the window, combined with draped curtains. So light and delicate organza or tulle look good, choose curtains with weights at the bottom. During washing it can be removed.

If you are not particularly attracted to modern mimimalism, and your interior is closer to a rustic, English or Provencal style, the ruffles and floral patterns in window decorations will be a great addition to a romantic interior.
