For many interesting architectural projects people choose large windows. One should not forget that the installation of such windows has several limitations ragarding their dimensions. For example, if you plan high and narrow arched windows, then you should take into account that for each profile thickness has its minimum radius of the arch. This should be considered in the stage of window openings design.
Triangular windows also have their own specifics. Window companies do not produce a window with the size of the external angle less than 30 degrees, as in this case it will be impossible to process on the welding equipment. Such windows are also almost impossible to make closed ones.
Large windows of irregular shape is better to make fixed. It is better for several reasons. First, when the sash will sag under its own weight, and in such structures it will happen sooner or later, the tightness of the window will be broken, which will lead to the loss of the main advantages of PVC windows. Secondly, the figure sashes need special fitting. One of the possible solutions is to divide window with a mullion into two parts: the irregular non-standard shape part - fixed, and the second part is opening.
Even if you plan large windows of standard forms, they will be separated by mullions. If for some reason you do not want to divide the window, you will have to install thicker glass that will increase the weight of the structure. Total area of the window divided by mullions can not be more than 6m2. If you want to glaze a larger area, then the system consisting of individual blocks should be ordered.
